Postpartum
Postpartum massage, once your provider says yes
Please wait for your doctor or midwife's go-ahead before you book.
A postpartum session is paced around the day you are having. Lie on your side, or sit supported if that is easier, and your therapist works on the shoulders, back, hips and arms that do the carrying.
The first few minutes are a quiet check-in, with no plan to follow. Tell us when you book if you are bringing your baby.

What we adjust for you
The arrival
Come when you are ready. If you are running late with a baby, call the desk and we will shift the visit.
The position
Side-lying, or seated with pillows behind you. Your therapist sets it up with you.
The pace
Slower on some days and firmer on others. You decide, and can change your mind during the session.
Questions about this session
When can I book after the birth?
When your provider says you can. Many people ask at the checkup after the birth. Tell us when you book, and we plan the visit around how you are feeling that day.
Can I bring my baby to a postpartum visit?
Tell us when you book and we will plan around it. Massage here is for adults, so the baby needs a second adult with them while you are on the table.
Can I change the pressure or stop?
Yes, at any time. Say lighter or firmer, ask to turn over, or stop, and your therapist does it right away.
Do I undress?
Only as far as you are comfortable. You are covered by a sheet the whole time, and only the part being worked on is uncovered.
