Prenatal
Prenatal massage, on your side and held by pillows
Please ask your doctor or midwife before you book.
You lie on your side the whole time. A long pillow holds your arms, one supports your belly and one sits between your knees, and your therapist moves them as you turn.
The work is steady and unhurried, on the back, hips, legs, shoulders and arms. Your therapist asks about pressure before starting and again at every turn.
Ask your doctor or midwife before booking
A sheet over you the whole time

In the room
What we adjust for you
The table
Wedge pillows and a long bolster set before you arrive, and adjusted to you once you lie down.
The pressure
Light to firm, and yours to change. Say lighter or firmer and it changes straight away.
The turns
You turn to the other side when you like, and your therapist rebuilds the pillows before you settle.
Questions about this session
Do I need a go-ahead before I book?
Please ask your doctor or midwife first. They know your pregnancy; we do not diagnose and cannot judge whether massage suits you. If they say wait, we wait.
How do I lie down?
On your side, with a long pillow to hold, one under your belly and one between your knees. Your therapist builds the pillows up until you say it feels right.
Do I undress?
Only as far as you are comfortable. You are covered by a sheet the whole time, and only the part being worked on is uncovered.
Can I change the pressure or stop?
Yes, at any time. Say lighter or firmer, ask to turn over, or stop, and your therapist does it right away.
